Who It's For

We work with two types of customers:

Homeowners

  • Remodeling a kitchen, bathroom, or basement
  • Repairing water damage or a damaged wall
  • Finishing a new addition or room
  • Repainting interior rooms
  • Patching holes or cracks before selling

General Contractors

  • Need a reliable drywall and paint sub on new builds
  • Want a crew that shows up on schedule
  • Need Level 4 or Level 5 finish quality
  • Working in Delaware or Otsego County
  • Want a sub that communicates and doesn't create problems

How It Works

Here's what happens from first contact to finished walls:

  1. 01

    Free Estimate

Call or fill out the form. We'll ask about the scope, square footage, and timeline. We provide a clear, itemized estimate. No vague quotes.

  2. 02

    Schedule the Job

Once you approve the estimate, we schedule the start date. We give you a realistic timeline and stick to it.

  3. 03

    Installation

We measure, cut, and fasten drywall to spec. Seams land on studs, surfaces are plumb, and the finishing crew has a consistent surface from day one.

  4. 04

    Finishing

We tape all seams, apply joint compound in multiple coats, and sand to a Level 4 or Level 5 finish depending on the job spec.

  5. 05

    Priming

We apply a dedicated drywall primer to all new surfaces. This is a required step. Skipping it causes flashing under finish paint.

  6. 06

    Painting

Two finish coats on all surfaces. Clean cut-in lines on trim and ceilings. We don't leave until it looks right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do drywall and painting together or can I hire you for just one?
Both. We can handle the full sequence of installation, finishing, priming, and painting, or just one phase if another contractor is handling the rest. Most customers hire us for the full interior finish.
What's the difference between drywall finishing levels?
Level 1-2 is rough/utility work. Level 3 is standard for textured walls. Level 4 is the standard for painted walls in most homes. Level 5 is a skim coat used under high-sheen paint or in rooms with critical lighting (like kitchens with recessed lights). We do Level 4 and Level 5.
How much does drywall installation cost in Oneonta, NY?
Cost depends on square footage, ceiling height, number of cutouts, and finish level. We provide free, itemized estimates. Call (607) 434-1593 or fill out the form on our contact page.
How long does a typical job take?
A single room typically takes 2-4 days from installation through final paint coat, depending on drying time and finish level. Larger projects are scoped individually. We give you a timeline before we start.
Do you work with general contractors on new builds?
Yes. We work directly with GCs as a drywall and painting subcontractor on new construction and remodels. We coordinate with other trades, hit our deadlines, and don't create problems on the job site.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Delaware County and Otsego County, NY, including Oneonta, Delhi, Stamford, Cooperstown, Walton, Sidney, Margaretville, and surrounding towns.
Do you do repairs or just full installs?
Both. We do patch repairs (water damage, holes, cracks), full room installs, and everything in between. No job is too small.
Why do I need primer before painting new drywall?
New drywall paper and joint compound absorb paint at different rates. Without a dedicated primer coat you get 'flashing', a blotchy sheen that shows up under light and can't be fixed without stripping. We prime every surface before finish coats go on.
